The annual prizes of the Polish Mathematical Society (PTM) and its partners will be awarded on Thursday, 5 July 2012 after the Andrzej Pelczar Memorial Lecture.

Stefan Banach International Prize for a Doctoral Dissertation in the Mathematical Sciences was established in 2008 jointly with the Polish telecommunication company Ericpol  - the sponsor of the prize and also one of the sponsors of the 6ECM. The monetary value of the prize is 20.000 PLN i.e. almost 5000 EUR.
